Oh My, Jr. High

When I was in Junior High, I loved to play basketball. I played ever since I was in fifth grade on city league teams and played for the Junior High team as well. In eight grade, our team wasn't that great but we had fun. Practices at 6:00 in the a.m were not that great but I loved playing in the games.

Our tournament was at Butte and we were all so excited to go because we didn't get to go the year before. We all felt so cool when we walked into Butte's gym and we had to share a locker room with Butte. They weren't in there when we got there so we hurried and got dressed and went back out and got ready to play our game.

When we went into the locker room when we were getting ready for another one of our games, all of our stuff was knocked off of the benches and all over the floor. Everyone figured it was the Butte girls that shoved all of our stuff off and some of the girls got mad and decided to seek revenge.

Some of our girls found some jewelry that were in some of the lockers and threw it all over the place and put some of it down the shower drains. Some of our other girls ripped someones bra in half, did some stuff to some of their drinks, put lotion in some other girls' shoes, and it just kept getting worse and worse. It was way crazy.

So while we were playing our last game, the Butte girls found out what some of our girls did. They told their coach and their coach called the cops.

When halftime came, we all went into the locker room, like we always do, and there was a cop and some of the Butte girls in there. The cop was taking pictures of some of the stuff that some of our girls did and we all knew that we were in trouble.

Our coach asked the cop what was wrong and he told her everything. Well, just everything that he knew of. Our coach was not happy at all and told us all the she told us not to touch their stuff when we first got there and then she was going to leave. The cop told her not to so she stayed in and the cop and our coach told us that who ever was apart in anything to confess and tell everyone what they all did.

Most of the girls confessed and went to the front and told everything that they did. None of them could play in the rest of the game. And the girls that confessed were mad at some of us girls because we didn't confess but we didn't do anything.

The cop told us that he could get them into some big trouble for vandalism, but one of the moms to one of the girls from our school told the cop and the Butte coach that the Butte girls started it and was messing with our stuff first. Their coach told that mom that her girls didn't tell her that so our girls didn't get in trouble with the cop because of that.

After halftime and everything was over, we just totally sucked it up when we played. Butte came out and they were cheering for the team that we were playing against. We also ended up getting last in the tournament. None of our parents were too happy about that, but a lot of them were just happy that it wasn't their kid that participated in everything. And ever since then, Butte has totally hated us. I wonder why..

The Joy of Student Teachers

When I was a Freshman, I was so excited to take Teen Living. Why might you ask? So I could take Foods of course! Ever since I was in grade school I always dreamed about taking all of those fun classes. And when I was finally a Freshman in high school, I could finally take Teen Living. I was so excited it wasn't even funny! I felt all sorts of grown up. And I was taking it with some of my favorite people in the whole world.

The first day we started that class, Mrs. Bunce told us that we would be having a student teacher teaching our class. We were all really excited because the student teacher was really nice.

Throughout the semester, we would always do fun things. We made quilts, aprons, and good food. We also learned about budgeting and a whole bunch of other stuff that wasn't quite as fun. But we would always joke around and everything so that made it so much more fun.

On one of the days, the student teacher brought us all toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, and all that fun stuff from Dr. Bauers office and talked to us about how it was important for us to take care of ourselves.

She started handing all of us the stuff and when she got to me, she handed me the toothpaste and I looked at it and asked her what it was. She got the funniest look on her face and thought I was being totally serious and didn't even know what to say. Bryce looked at her, then at me, then back at her and told her I was totally kidding. It was so funny though because she really thought I had no idea what toothpaste was.

The rest of the year was so much fun with our student teacher and we were all sad when she left. Sometimes I wish she were still here because then I would take all of the fun classes from her.

After Party

When David Archuletta came to concert in Idaho Falls, I wasn't able to go to the concert but my sister told me that he was going to have an after party at the Rex in Rexburg afterwords. I was very excited and Belen, Hannah, and I decided we wanted to go. We got there about 30 minutes early and waited for them to let us in. We could go bowling for like a way good discount and there were a lot of fun things that we could do but we decided that we wanted to be in the very front of the little stage that he was going to be singing on. So when we finally got in, we pretty much ran to the little stage and we were in the very front and we did not move. There was a cool DJ there that was playing a whole bunch of songs while we were waiting for David. We became friends with him and he let us win a few of the games that he did and Belen and I even got to dance and sing on stage. It was so much fun!
At around 11:00 in the p.m, David Osmond came and sang. Belen and I made a little heart with our hands and he poked his finger through it. It was awesome! And the David Archuletta's brother, Daneil, even sang. He was pretty good.

While this was going on, I kept calling my mom to see if we could stay a little longer because David wasn't even there yet and we wanted to stay and see him. So after the tenth time calling her, she finally said we could stay and see him, but we had to come home right after. I excitedly agreed so we stayed.

Sadly, David never came. But the upside was that we met and got pictures kissing Daniel, David Osmond, and DJ Dub Dee on the cheek. And after that, we decided to go home so my mom wouldn't be too mad.

On our way home, we were trying to get home as fast as we can so our parents would be happy, and I still had to take Belen all the way to Rigby to her dad's house. We were going about 42 mph's on Main Street, passed a car. After the car turned around and turned on its lights, we realized it was a cop. We pulled into the place by JB's so we weren't right on the road.

The cop came up and asked me to see all of the stuff that they always need to see. We gave all of it to him and then he asked all of us how old we were. I told him I was 16 but i would be turning 17 like the next week, Belen told him he was 17, and then it was Hannah's turn. Her eyes got really big and she looked really scared, so I told him that she was 13. He didn't seem too happy and he asked me if I knew what time curfew was. I was kind of confused but I told him that my curfew was usually 12 o'clock but I called my mom and she said it was fine. (And it was about 2:30 when he picked us up.) He seemed really annoyed and said, "Not home curfew, city curfew." I had no idea that any place in the whole world so said, "They have a curfew?" I think he thought I was retarded and told me that Rexburg's curfew was 12:30.

I felt really retarded and then he asked me what we were doing out so late. I told him the truth and told him that we were at a David Archuletta after party and it just got over and we were on our way home he didn't believe me and said, "Hmm. We'll see" really sarcastically and with a big ol' smirk on his face. Then he left to go write me a ticket.

Once he left, Hannah just started bawling. Belen and I asked her what was wrong and she asked us if we were going to jail. Both Belen and I started laughing and told her we were not going to go to jail but I was going to get a ticket for sure.

The cop came back and found out that I didn't lie to him so he didn't give me a ticket for being out past curfew, but he did give me a ticket for going 42 mph's in a 25 mph zone. That was the 2nd ticket that I ever got and I got the first one only 3 months before. Because of that, I lost my license a short while later.
I got Belen home at about 3:00 in the a.m and Hannah and I didn't get home til 3:30. The next morning, my mom was mad that we got home so late and she wasn't too thrilled that I got another ticket. Belen's father wasn't too happy that she got home so late either so we were both pretty much under house arrest for the weekend.
It was actually kind of fun because neither of our parents took our phones away so whenever they would leave, we would secretly call each other. And both of our parents seemed to be gone at about the same time. That was definitely a weekend that I will never forget.

State Football

State football is always one of the funnest times of the year because we get to go watch our team play at the dome and eat their amazing ice cream. Cheering at the dome is pretty fun too. I love performing on their field. And when the other teams crowd does like those competative cheers with you is always fun as well. A couple years ago, we were playing West Side and we were trying to do those competative kind of cheers with them. Well of course they thought we were being mean so they were being really mean to us. A lot of the people in our crowd didn't like that so they really started being kind of mean to West Side. One of the girls in our crowd started a cheer that goes:

"We're not rude,

We're not mean,

We're gonna cheer for the other team.

Go West Side go.

Go West Side go.

Off the field,

Out the dome,

Go West Side go."

After they said that cheer, West Side's cheerleaders and their student crowd was not happy at all. After the game, the cheerleaders told us how mean we were and how bad our sportsmanship was. They pretty much hated us and they all still do. but one of the older guys from West Side was really nice. He came up to us and said "That was so nice of you guys how you did a cheer for our team" because they were losing when we did that cheer. And obviously he didn't hear or understand all of the words in the cheer. But now whenever we play them in anything, they are kinda mean and they don't like us. But at least it was fun while it lasted.(:

My First Time

I loved my first year of rodeo. It was so much fun. I did the barrels and the queen contest. I borrowed a horse from Abby Burtenshaw and she helped me A LOT! But my favorite part about the entire year of rodeo was probably up at Districts. Hunter went up there with her mom so we hung out like the whole time. It was so much fun! The hotel we were staying at had the river right behind it so we would go out there and just hang out. While we were there, we had a few interesting/embarrassing experiences. I kind of had a stalker friend while I was there that wouldn't leave me alone. He was EVERYWHERE that I was. It was kind of weird. He was also staying at the same hotel that I was and he was also in the room right by the one I was staying in as well. And while Hunter was with me, we were eating some grapes that my mom bought from the store. We ate quite a few and my mom told us to stop eating them or bad things would happen. Our window was kind of open and Hunter and I were on our way outside and I told my mom something really embarrassing while I was opening the door. When I opened the door all the way, my stalker was standing right there roping a dummy and he heard every word that we all said. That was way fun. So we just walked right by and I didn't even dare look at him.

But that wasn't the only embarrassing thing that happened. When I used to ride, I would wear some thing on my legs under my pants so my saddle wouldn't rub on the inside of my knees. So after one of the rodeos, Hunter and I went back to my trailer and I rolled my pant legs up and I took off my little leg protector things. We were going to go out of the trailer and Hunter asked me if I was going to roll my pants back down. I didn't want to because we were just going to get in our pickup and go back to our hotel. I should have listened to her. I opened the door of the trailer, with my pants still rolled up looking like a crazy person, and two cute guys walked by and saw me and they kind of started laughing. Hunter started laughing to so i closed the trailer door and rolled my pants back down. That was also another memorable experience.

After we got back to our hotel, Hunter and I decided we wanted to go sit in the hot tub. We got our swimming suites on, put our boots on and headed out for the hot tub. When we were leaving, my mom and Hannah were also leaving so they could go to Subway and get themselves some delicious sandwiches. At the time, Hunter and I didn't know that we had to have a key to get into the hot tub. So we walked all the way over there and realized that we needed a key. After we realized that, we ran back to our room hoping that my mom and hannah would somehow be there still. We got back to my room and they were gone. We were locked out of everywhere. While we were waiting, Monty Johnson drove up. Apparently he was staying in the same hotel that I was. He got out of the car, looked at us funny, and asked us what we were up to. We told him we wanted to go swimming but we were locked out. Being the saint that he is, he told us he would let us borrow his key but it turned out that he let Stephen borrow his key because he went with some of his other friends to their hotel. So we decided to go back to the other side of the hotel where my room was because we felt kind of retarded. We were locked out for about thirty mins until my mom and Hannah came back with some food. We told them everything that happened while they were laughing at us so we decided to eat our food and then go sit in the hot tub while we tried not to think too much about everything that just had happened to us.

Oh Brother..

When I was little, my brother and I had, well I guess you could call it a special bond. He would always tell me to do something and he would promise not to tell on me so I would do it and then sure enough, about five minutes later, my mom would come out and get me in trouble. It was the weirdest thing. Like one time, he told me to color on one of our movies. He even gave me a crayon to color on it with. What a kind kid. He promised me that he wouldn't tell my mom so I was all for it. But while I was in the middle of my master piece, my dear mother came out and somehow knew that I had been coloring on the movie, and she got mad at me. It was the weirdest thing. He even got me to call 9-1-1 once. It was pretty fun. The weird thing was that he really didn't tell on me for that one. They called back because I hung up once they answered the phone. That wasn't good. But he got in trouble to so I wasn't alone on that one(: And when we would both get in trouble, my mom would make us sit in chairs. Then she would leave the room and come back and we would be doing all sorts of crazy things so she would make us sit in different rooms. Then she would leave the room. We could still see each other so we would still be doing crazy things when she came back. I'm sure she just loved us. And one year during Christmas, we decided we were going to be electritions. we took off all of the light bulbs on the lights that were on the tree(that we could reach) and put them in a pile, and then we had another pile of whatever else was in the bulb in another pile. Good times(:
