State Basketball

Going to state in anything is always so fun. When the boys went to state basketball, the cheerleaders got to go with them and we got to drive ourselves to Boise. That was the best thing we have ever done. We stayed in a different hotel than the boys stayed at and it was a really nice hotel. They had a nice indoor swimming pool and really good food for breakfast. We also got to go to them mall whenever we wanted to and we just got to do everything that we wanted. It was so nice.
The first night we were there, Belen and I were just walking around the hotel because we didn't really want to go swimming. We saw this kid that was about fourteenish and he was all alone so we decided to talk to him. He also looked really familiar and we asked him what his name was and he told us his name was Mckye. So Belen asked him if he had a brother named Braden Watt. Mckye said it was his brother so we called Braden on Mckye's phone and talked to him for awhile. We also became friends with Mckye and hung out with him while we were there. We even tried setting him up with Hannah. It didn't work out too well with them.
The next night, Belen and I decided we would stay up the whole night because it was our last night there. We first started out the night by hanging out with some of our friends that came to our hotel. We just chilled in the weight room and talked. Then a lot of people started coming in and we didn't want to hang out with them so we left the weight room and went to play on the elevators. It was really fun because a lot of people kept getting on and off and we just rode it the whole time. Then we went and hung out in the lobby and then our friends had to leave. So Belen and I decided that we would go back to the weight room and hang out with whoever was in there. Kaden was in the weight room so we were just chatting with him.
When he was in the pool, there were also some drunk people that were in there and they just all of a sudden got mad at him so thats why he went to the weight room. Then all of the other cheerleaders started coming in so we just kind of started chatting with them also. While we were all just sitting in there, the drunk people came in. There was a girl and a guy and the guy wanted to take us on in a lifting competition. Then he told us to go get our dads so he could take them on, too. The girl was just plain crazy and was asking us how old we were and then they were accusing us of being pot smokers and drinkers. They started getting really mad and then Bob, Tanner, and Justin walked by. We were so relieved and told them to come in with us.
The drunk people asked us if they were our boyfriends and we told them we weren't and the guys told the drunk people that they didn't even know who we were. They were just talking to the drunk people and tried not to get them mad but that didn't happen. The drunk people got really mad and the boys told us to leave.
We all went out of the first part of the hotel and we were talking to Shaylee, Alli, and a few other people that were there about what happened. And while we were just chilling outside, the drunk people came out and they wanted Kaden to go talk to them. We told Kaden to go back to his room so they would leave him alone. So Kaden ran back to his room and closed the door. Then we all went back to talk to the drunk people because they still wanted to talk to Kaden but we told them that he went to bed. They still wouldn't leave us alone about it and they kept telling us that they just wanted to apologize to him. We told them that we would tell him and then they finally left us alone.
We all went back to our room to to talk about what happened. We were all laughing about it and then everyone started getting ready for bed except for Belen and me. We wanted to stay up all night so we quietly left the room and just went and hung out in the lobby. We became friends with the the lady that worked at the front counter and she made us hot chocolate. She also let us watch movies and stuff in the lobby. She also told us that we could get back in the pool if we wanted even though it was closed. We decided to go back into the pool but we didn't swim. We just sat and chatted.
After that, we went into the little office place that they had and we got on the computers. First we checked our Myspace and emails and then we started getting kind of tired so we started walking around the hotel again. Then we went back to the little office place again and we started looking up videos on youtube and we were dancing to them. It was so much fun.
When we were done dancing and stuff, we went and walked around the hotel again. We sat on the couches in the lobby and we kinda fell asleep for about twenty minutes. When we woke up, There was a bunch of people in there and they were all eating breakfast. We ate breakfast really quick and then we had to go back to our room and get all of our stuff ready to leave. We were so tired while we were getting all of our stuff together so we slept on the whole ride home.

B.P.A (aka biggest partiers around)

B.P.A is so much fun. Regionals is fun but state is even funner. This year was also the definitely the funnest. Bryce, Amanda, Hayden, and I were all on the Web Design Team. We got first at regionals and we made it to state. But that wasn't even the best part. It all started on the bus.
There were four other girls that went so we were going to split the rooms up into two groups of three. And the four other girls were all on another team, too. So Amanda and I had this brilliant idea that our Web Design team should be in our own room and the other team should be in one room so we would be able to get all of our competition stuff worked out. So we went and told Mr. Stembridge that he should tell them that so Amanda and I could have our own room. They all believed it at first and they were all freaking out because they didn't want to do that. It was funny, though, to see all of them freak out like that. But then we had to keep the rooms the same because those other girls didn't want to do that.
On our way to Boise, we had to pick up Marsh Valley's B.P.A. team because we were going to share the bus with them. They were all kind of weird but they were nice. One of the girls had chips and she said we could have some. So I got a big handful of them and had them in both of my hands. I was getting the chips out of my hands with my mouth and all of the Marsh Valley people were all like 'Wow! That is really cool! I wouldn't be able to do that.' etc. So I told them all, being the smart alec that i am, 'I can do amazing things with my tongue.' They all freaked out and couldn't believe I said that. And none of them knew I was kidding. Except for everyone from our school. It was really funny.
When we finally got to Boise, we were so excited. There were a lot of schools that stayed in the same hotel we stayed at so we were way excited. And our hotel was very nice. They had good food too.
On one of the nights, Hayden, Bryce, Amanda, and I walked to the gas station that was pretty close to our hotel and bought some ice cream. we picked the kinds we wanted and then we had to look for some spoons. They had some plastic spoons by the soda fountain so i took one and put it in my pocket. When I went to go pay, i just put the ice cream up there because that was all I was going to buy. While the cashier was ringing up my ice cream, she asked me if I had anything else. I told her no and she looked at me like I was lying to her. So I told her that i had the spoon but I didn't think I had to pay for it. Then she just looked at me like I was retarded. So when i was finished buying all of my stuff, I left the store as fast as I could.
And while we were in Boise, everyone in B.P.A. got to go to a Semi-Pro Basketball game. I saw some people from Ririe that I knew. We were just chatting for a little while and then he told me that I never called him for a wheelchair because of my knee and so I told him it was because I didn't have his number. He told me he would give it to me then so I could. I wasn't really in to him so I didn't really want his number so I told asked him 'What if I don't need a wheelchair though?' He didn't know what to say to that and I felt kind of mean but everyone that was there was just laughing. And It was pretty funny.
That night back at the hotel, Amanda and I had some powdered doughnuts. We thought it would be funny if we put them all over our face and walked around the hotel. Well it was pretty fun. Mrs. Bowcutt and one of her students that was in B.P.A. were right outside. We saw them and we just started laughing because of what was on our face and we left because we were kind of embarrassed. So we went downstairs and we were just sitting in the lounge. Some people walked by us and walked into the little snack shop thing that the hotel had. So we decided to go in there to. We were looking at everything and we were just being kind of retarded. And when we turned around, one of the boys who was in there like freaked out. He was all 'What the heck is on your face?!' And of course, we pretended that we had no idea what he was talking about. He kept asking us what it was and then Amanda and I looked at each other and said 'Oh my gosh you do have something on your face! This is so embarrassing!' and then we left and went back up to the floor that our room was on.
When we got upstairs, one of the rooms had their door open. We went and looked inside and there were some people in there. So we just starting talking to them. They seemed really nice. then one of them came out to talk to us and he kinda freaked out to. He asked us the same questions and we did the same thing. But he was cool and gave us a piece of pizza. It was really good.
Then we left them and started walking back to our room. Mrs. Bowcutt and that kid were still out in the hall talking and Bryce was with them. Amanda and I were pretending we were spies or something and we started like trying to be sneaky as we were walking down the hall. Amanda and I were laughing so hard as we were telling them what happened to us and they all thought we were crazy. The kid that was talking to Mrs. Bowcutt and Bryce asked Bryce if we were drunk or something because we were pretty crazy. But of course we weren't and then we finally went to our rooms and got all the crap off our faces.
We also did a little prank calling while we were in Boise. We would call random rooms and just say random stuff. One time when I called a random room, some kid picked up. I talked to him with a Spanish accent and told him that his tacos were ready for him to come pick up. He told me to hold on for a second and then I could hear him asking his mom if they bought tacos. It was so funny! Then his mom got on the phone and I told her the same thing. Then she told me that they didn't order any tacos and then she hung up and that was the end of that.
We also spiced up the awards ceremony. That thing always seems to drag on forever. So we decided that we would have fun with it this year. We just made up random conversations so everyone around us could hear. Amanda said something about how her dad wanted to get a 12th wife and just said a whole bunch of funny stuff about that. Then Hayden and I were pretending to be in a fight and Ms. Bratsman thought we were being serious. And it just went on and on throughout the whole awards ceremony. We also did a whole lot more crazy things and that was probably one of the funnest trips that I have been on with the school.

Potato Harvest

I have never really been a big fan of Potato Harvest. I just hate working all day every for extremely long hours and I never really had any friends working for us because they used to be too young to work. But the funnest time I worked in Potato Harvest was when I was a Junior. We had the funnest crew. Austin, Kyle, and Preston worked out in the field and Emily, Mataya, Belen, and Hannah picked clods and Jo and I drove trucks.
The first day we started, I was getting the last load in the field for the day. When I was driving up to Austin's digger, him, Kyle, and Preston were all standing out by Austin's tractor. I knew something was up. So when I pulled up, they all started throwing dirt clods at my truck. I was going to get out but I knew that they would kill me. So I just sat safely in my truck with my window rolled down. One of them hit my mirror and the dirt went everywhere! It was all over me. So they finally decided to get back to work and I took my load back to the cellar.
The next day we worked, all of the guys were telling me I was going down. So I told all the girls at back at the cellar and we decided we would get them back. It was war.
When we were getting ready to be done for the night, Emily, Jo, and I got a lot of mini potatoes and hid them in our sweatshirts so we could throw them at the boys when they put their tractors away. When they started coming in, we were trying to sneak up on them so we could hit them with our potatoes. They saw us so they were trying to run away and find some potatoes they could throw at us. We hit them a few times and they were still trying to find things to throw at us. They found a few potatoes to throw but they missed us. Then one of them found a crowbar and started chasing me around the tractors. Thank goodness Jo was there because she threw a potato at him and then we escaped.
Then the next night, Emily, Mataya, Jo, and I found a bunch of small potatoes again and waited by our shop for the guys to get there so we could get them again. When they got there, they went into the shop with the door open and they were trying to fix something on one of the tractors. We all got into our positions and started attacking them again. They were trying to find things to throw at us again and then they shut all the doors and locked us out. Then we found another way to get in and we were hiding behind the tractor. Then Mataya threw a potato at Preston and hit him on the back of the head and the potato broke into pieces. It was so funny.
So we kept that going for pretty much all of spud harvest. It was so fun. That was definitely one of the funnest spud harvests that I have worked in.

Sticky Situations

I have always kind of liked staying home alone. You can pretty much do whatever you want because you're parents aren't home. And when you have friends over, there are many fun things that you can think of that you can do.

A few years ago, Tanae came over to my house and my whole family left to go do something fun. So Tanae and I decided that we would call people. We called like everyone that you can think of. While we were talking to them, we were eating marshmellows outside on our little porch. While we were outside eating our marshmellows, we had the brilliant idea of seeing if our marshmellows would stick to the window. So we would suck on the marshmellows and then throw them at the windows and they would stick. That was pretty fun. Then we went back inside and we wanted to see if we could throw the marshmellows at our really tall windows and see if they would stick. Well, they did. They were stuck on our tallest windows and we had no idea how to get them down. But the good thing was that they were low enough on the windows that you couldn't see them. But only when you were standing where we were. So we just decided that we weren't going to say anything to anybody when they all got home.

So while we were waiting for everyone to still come home, we decided to stop throwing marshmellows and we decided to roast them over our stove. That was fun and they were good. After a little while of roasting marshmellows, I decided that I wanted to start mine on fire. So I was roasting another marshmellow and turned around to watch some TV.

After a minute or two, Tanae started screaming and jumped off of the chair she was sitting on and ran over by our fridge. I turned around to see what the heck was happening and my marshmellow was on fire! I felt so accomplished because I achieved my goal. But I was scared and didn't know what to do but I finally got the fire out. That was pretty exciting.

My parents came home shortly after that and then they took Tanae back to her house. We were all just sitting around on the couches and my mom decided she wanted to go upstairs for something. While she was walking up the stairs, she decided to look out the big windows that are right across our stairs. Then she saw the marshmellows. She was kind of mad and asked us all who threw the marshmellows on the window. She started blaming it on Austin and he told her that he didn't do it and he thought it was Tanae. Then I told my mom that it wasn't Tanae because I was with her the whole time and she would never do that. I don't know if my mom knew that it was us or not but she made my dad go get a ladder and get the marshmellows off. So ever since then, I decided that I would not throw marshmellows at places that I couldn't reach.

Oh My, Jr. High

When I was in Junior High, I loved to play basketball. I played ever since I was in fifth grade on city league teams and played for the Junior High team as well. In eight grade, our team wasn't that great but we had fun. Practices at 6:00 in the a.m were not that great but I loved playing in the games.

Our tournament was at Butte and we were all so excited to go because we didn't get to go the year before. We all felt so cool when we walked into Butte's gym and we had to share a locker room with Butte. They weren't in there when we got there so we hurried and got dressed and went back out and got ready to play our game.

When we went into the locker room when we were getting ready for another one of our games, all of our stuff was knocked off of the benches and all over the floor. Everyone figured it was the Butte girls that shoved all of our stuff off and some of the girls got mad and decided to seek revenge.

Some of our girls found some jewelry that were in some of the lockers and threw it all over the place and put some of it down the shower drains. Some of our other girls ripped someones bra in half, did some stuff to some of their drinks, put lotion in some other girls' shoes, and it just kept getting worse and worse. It was way crazy.

So while we were playing our last game, the Butte girls found out what some of our girls did. They told their coach and their coach called the cops.

When halftime came, we all went into the locker room, like we always do, and there was a cop and some of the Butte girls in there. The cop was taking pictures of some of the stuff that some of our girls did and we all knew that we were in trouble.

Our coach asked the cop what was wrong and he told her everything. Well, just everything that he knew of. Our coach was not happy at all and told us all the she told us not to touch their stuff when we first got there and then she was going to leave. The cop told her not to so she stayed in and the cop and our coach told us that who ever was apart in anything to confess and tell everyone what they all did.

Most of the girls confessed and went to the front and told everything that they did. None of them could play in the rest of the game. And the girls that confessed were mad at some of us girls because we didn't confess but we didn't do anything.

The cop told us that he could get them into some big trouble for vandalism, but one of the moms to one of the girls from our school told the cop and the Butte coach that the Butte girls started it and was messing with our stuff first. Their coach told that mom that her girls didn't tell her that so our girls didn't get in trouble with the cop because of that.

After halftime and everything was over, we just totally sucked it up when we played. Butte came out and they were cheering for the team that we were playing against. We also ended up getting last in the tournament. None of our parents were too happy about that, but a lot of them were just happy that it wasn't their kid that participated in everything. And ever since then, Butte has totally hated us. I wonder why..

The Joy of Student Teachers

When I was a Freshman, I was so excited to take Teen Living. Why might you ask? So I could take Foods of course! Ever since I was in grade school I always dreamed about taking all of those fun classes. And when I was finally a Freshman in high school, I could finally take Teen Living. I was so excited it wasn't even funny! I felt all sorts of grown up. And I was taking it with some of my favorite people in the whole world.

The first day we started that class, Mrs. Bunce told us that we would be having a student teacher teaching our class. We were all really excited because the student teacher was really nice.

Throughout the semester, we would always do fun things. We made quilts, aprons, and good food. We also learned about budgeting and a whole bunch of other stuff that wasn't quite as fun. But we would always joke around and everything so that made it so much more fun.

On one of the days, the student teacher brought us all toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, and all that fun stuff from Dr. Bauers office and talked to us about how it was important for us to take care of ourselves.

She started handing all of us the stuff and when she got to me, she handed me the toothpaste and I looked at it and asked her what it was. She got the funniest look on her face and thought I was being totally serious and didn't even know what to say. Bryce looked at her, then at me, then back at her and told her I was totally kidding. It was so funny though because she really thought I had no idea what toothpaste was.

The rest of the year was so much fun with our student teacher and we were all sad when she left. Sometimes I wish she were still here because then I would take all of the fun classes from her.

After Party

When David Archuletta came to concert in Idaho Falls, I wasn't able to go to the concert but my sister told me that he was going to have an after party at the Rex in Rexburg afterwords. I was very excited and Belen, Hannah, and I decided we wanted to go. We got there about 30 minutes early and waited for them to let us in. We could go bowling for like a way good discount and there were a lot of fun things that we could do but we decided that we wanted to be in the very front of the little stage that he was going to be singing on. So when we finally got in, we pretty much ran to the little stage and we were in the very front and we did not move. There was a cool DJ there that was playing a whole bunch of songs while we were waiting for David. We became friends with him and he let us win a few of the games that he did and Belen and I even got to dance and sing on stage. It was so much fun!
At around 11:00 in the p.m, David Osmond came and sang. Belen and I made a little heart with our hands and he poked his finger through it. It was awesome! And the David Archuletta's brother, Daneil, even sang. He was pretty good.

While this was going on, I kept calling my mom to see if we could stay a little longer because David wasn't even there yet and we wanted to stay and see him. So after the tenth time calling her, she finally said we could stay and see him, but we had to come home right after. I excitedly agreed so we stayed.

Sadly, David never came. But the upside was that we met and got pictures kissing Daniel, David Osmond, and DJ Dub Dee on the cheek. And after that, we decided to go home so my mom wouldn't be too mad.

On our way home, we were trying to get home as fast as we can so our parents would be happy, and I still had to take Belen all the way to Rigby to her dad's house. We were going about 42 mph's on Main Street, passed a car. After the car turned around and turned on its lights, we realized it was a cop. We pulled into the place by JB's so we weren't right on the road.

The cop came up and asked me to see all of the stuff that they always need to see. We gave all of it to him and then he asked all of us how old we were. I told him I was 16 but i would be turning 17 like the next week, Belen told him he was 17, and then it was Hannah's turn. Her eyes got really big and she looked really scared, so I told him that she was 13. He didn't seem too happy and he asked me if I knew what time curfew was. I was kind of confused but I told him that my curfew was usually 12 o'clock but I called my mom and she said it was fine. (And it was about 2:30 when he picked us up.) He seemed really annoyed and said, "Not home curfew, city curfew." I had no idea that any place in the whole world so said, "They have a curfew?" I think he thought I was retarded and told me that Rexburg's curfew was 12:30.

I felt really retarded and then he asked me what we were doing out so late. I told him the truth and told him that we were at a David Archuletta after party and it just got over and we were on our way home he didn't believe me and said, "Hmm. We'll see" really sarcastically and with a big ol' smirk on his face. Then he left to go write me a ticket.

Once he left, Hannah just started bawling. Belen and I asked her what was wrong and she asked us if we were going to jail. Both Belen and I started laughing and told her we were not going to go to jail but I was going to get a ticket for sure.

The cop came back and found out that I didn't lie to him so he didn't give me a ticket for being out past curfew, but he did give me a ticket for going 42 mph's in a 25 mph zone. That was the 2nd ticket that I ever got and I got the first one only 3 months before. Because of that, I lost my license a short while later.
I got Belen home at about 3:00 in the a.m and Hannah and I didn't get home til 3:30. The next morning, my mom was mad that we got home so late and she wasn't too thrilled that I got another ticket. Belen's father wasn't too happy that she got home so late either so we were both pretty much under house arrest for the weekend.
It was actually kind of fun because neither of our parents took our phones away so whenever they would leave, we would secretly call each other. And both of our parents seemed to be gone at about the same time. That was definitely a weekend that I will never forget.

State Football

State football is always one of the funnest times of the year because we get to go watch our team play at the dome and eat their amazing ice cream. Cheering at the dome is pretty fun too. I love performing on their field. And when the other teams crowd does like those competative cheers with you is always fun as well. A couple years ago, we were playing West Side and we were trying to do those competative kind of cheers with them. Well of course they thought we were being mean so they were being really mean to us. A lot of the people in our crowd didn't like that so they really started being kind of mean to West Side. One of the girls in our crowd started a cheer that goes:

"We're not rude,

We're not mean,

We're gonna cheer for the other team.

Go West Side go.

Go West Side go.

Off the field,

Out the dome,

Go West Side go."

After they said that cheer, West Side's cheerleaders and their student crowd was not happy at all. After the game, the cheerleaders told us how mean we were and how bad our sportsmanship was. They pretty much hated us and they all still do. but one of the older guys from West Side was really nice. He came up to us and said "That was so nice of you guys how you did a cheer for our team" because they were losing when we did that cheer. And obviously he didn't hear or understand all of the words in the cheer. But now whenever we play them in anything, they are kinda mean and they don't like us. But at least it was fun while it lasted.(:

My First Time

I loved my first year of rodeo. It was so much fun. I did the barrels and the queen contest. I borrowed a horse from Abby Burtenshaw and she helped me A LOT! But my favorite part about the entire year of rodeo was probably up at Districts. Hunter went up there with her mom so we hung out like the whole time. It was so much fun! The hotel we were staying at had the river right behind it so we would go out there and just hang out. While we were there, we had a few interesting/embarrassing experiences. I kind of had a stalker friend while I was there that wouldn't leave me alone. He was EVERYWHERE that I was. It was kind of weird. He was also staying at the same hotel that I was and he was also in the room right by the one I was staying in as well. And while Hunter was with me, we were eating some grapes that my mom bought from the store. We ate quite a few and my mom told us to stop eating them or bad things would happen. Our window was kind of open and Hunter and I were on our way outside and I told my mom something really embarrassing while I was opening the door. When I opened the door all the way, my stalker was standing right there roping a dummy and he heard every word that we all said. That was way fun. So we just walked right by and I didn't even dare look at him.

But that wasn't the only embarrassing thing that happened. When I used to ride, I would wear some thing on my legs under my pants so my saddle wouldn't rub on the inside of my knees. So after one of the rodeos, Hunter and I went back to my trailer and I rolled my pant legs up and I took off my little leg protector things. We were going to go out of the trailer and Hunter asked me if I was going to roll my pants back down. I didn't want to because we were just going to get in our pickup and go back to our hotel. I should have listened to her. I opened the door of the trailer, with my pants still rolled up looking like a crazy person, and two cute guys walked by and saw me and they kind of started laughing. Hunter started laughing to so i closed the trailer door and rolled my pants back down. That was also another memorable experience.

After we got back to our hotel, Hunter and I decided we wanted to go sit in the hot tub. We got our swimming suites on, put our boots on and headed out for the hot tub. When we were leaving, my mom and Hannah were also leaving so they could go to Subway and get themselves some delicious sandwiches. At the time, Hunter and I didn't know that we had to have a key to get into the hot tub. So we walked all the way over there and realized that we needed a key. After we realized that, we ran back to our room hoping that my mom and hannah would somehow be there still. We got back to my room and they were gone. We were locked out of everywhere. While we were waiting, Monty Johnson drove up. Apparently he was staying in the same hotel that I was. He got out of the car, looked at us funny, and asked us what we were up to. We told him we wanted to go swimming but we were locked out. Being the saint that he is, he told us he would let us borrow his key but it turned out that he let Stephen borrow his key because he went with some of his other friends to their hotel. So we decided to go back to the other side of the hotel where my room was because we felt kind of retarded. We were locked out for about thirty mins until my mom and Hannah came back with some food. We told them everything that happened while they were laughing at us so we decided to eat our food and then go sit in the hot tub while we tried not to think too much about everything that just had happened to us.

Oh Brother..

When I was little, my brother and I had, well I guess you could call it a special bond. He would always tell me to do something and he would promise not to tell on me so I would do it and then sure enough, about five minutes later, my mom would come out and get me in trouble. It was the weirdest thing. Like one time, he told me to color on one of our movies. He even gave me a crayon to color on it with. What a kind kid. He promised me that he wouldn't tell my mom so I was all for it. But while I was in the middle of my master piece, my dear mother came out and somehow knew that I had been coloring on the movie, and she got mad at me. It was the weirdest thing. He even got me to call 9-1-1 once. It was pretty fun. The weird thing was that he really didn't tell on me for that one. They called back because I hung up once they answered the phone. That wasn't good. But he got in trouble to so I wasn't alone on that one(: And when we would both get in trouble, my mom would make us sit in chairs. Then she would leave the room and come back and we would be doing all sorts of crazy things so she would make us sit in different rooms. Then she would leave the room. We could still see each other so we would still be doing crazy things when she came back. I'm sure she just loved us. And one year during Christmas, we decided we were going to be electritions. we took off all of the light bulbs on the lights that were on the tree(that we could reach) and put them in a pile, and then we had another pile of whatever else was in the bulb in another pile. Good times(:
